Extraordinary meeting of Eurasian Intergovernmental Council held in Armenia with participation of Akylbek Zhaparov

Bishkek, Aug. 25, 2023. /Kabar/. On August 24, an extraordinary meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was held in the city of Tsakhkadzor (Armenia) with the participation of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov.

According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the heads of governments of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia took part in this event.

During the meeting, the members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council exchanged views on the strategic development of the Union for the period up to 2030 and 2045, including the discussion of the draft Declaration on the main tasks and key directions for the further development of integration processes.

Akylbek Zhaparov noted the importance of further deepening integration ties, removing all barriers to the free movement of goods, capital, services and labor resources, and empowering the EEC with the necessary powers.

Based on the results of the extraordinary meeting, the heads of government instructed the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission to work out the draft St. Petersburg Declaration with a view to its final consideration at the upcoming meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will be held on October 26-27, 2023 in Bishkek.
