Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2021 . / Kabar /. Factory for producing drip irrigation equipment is planned to open in Kyrgyzstan in 2022, Minister of Agriculture of the republic Askarbek Dzhanybekov said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He added that currently only 2.5 thousand hectares of farmland are covered by drip irrigation.
"The demand for this method of irrigation increases every year. Therefore, we are now working to attract investors to produce drip irrigation equipment, possibly within the framework of PPP,” the minister said.
Dzhanybekov also noted that Aiyl Bank allocates leasing to farmers for repair of wells and purchase of equipment.
