Liuxing Street, built in 1934, is a well-known historical block in Yining City. The street has developed into a tourist attraction integrating tourism, cultural exhibitions, characteristic restaurants and craft processing.
Liuxing Street is a product of cultural exchanges between the East and the West, a six-star radial block, which reflects the planning concept of a modern garden city, which is rare in the world and unique in China.
The street is now the residence of Han, Uygur, Kazak, Russian, Tatar, Hui and other ethnicities, which forms a unique multi-cultural characteristic. In total 47 different ethnic groups live here.

Liuxing Street is traditionally the residence of Russian immigrants and their descendants. The Bayan art of Russian accordion has been inherited here. Alexander private accordion museum has certain popularity.
The Alexander Accordion Museum, houses more than 800 accordions from more than 20 countries, including China, Germany, Italy, Russia and others. These accordions were collected over a period of more than 40 years by a resident of Russian nationality, Alexander Zazulin, living in Ili. Alexander was born in Ili in 1958. In addition to Russian, he speaks Uyghur, Kazakh, Xibe and Chinese. From an early age, Alexander lived in a musical family and enjoyed playing musical instruments.
He started repairing the instrument when he was 15 years old. He has since made a living doing this. And his brilliant craftsmanship earned him an international reputation. Collecting accordions was the hobby of Zazulin. But in the beginning, they were just worn-out pieces from his clients. Decades on, Zazulin has spent almost all of his life savings collecting some 1,000 accordions from more than 20 countries. One of the accordions has a 194-year history. Its the treasure of the museum. Its production date is only five years later than the world's first accordion.
The world biggest accordion is also located in Liuxing Street.
In May of 2019, Zazulin’s long-cherished dream was fulfilled – this government-sponsored museum was established to keep his treasures.
The Accordion Museum also has an active accordion orchestra consisting of Han Chinese, Uyghurs, Russians, Sibinese, Kazakhs and members of other nationalities, who perform famous folk songs of countries along the Silk Road. With the onset of the tourist season, more and more tourists from all over the world come to visit this accordion museum.
Liuxing is a famous folk tradition tourism area, the two main features of which are music and folk customs. Most of the people living here have an accordion at home, and almost all holidays and weddings are accompanied with the play on accordion.
