Bishkek, Nov.25, 2024. /Kabar/. Famous Kyrgyz surgeon, Professor Mambet Mamakeyev passed away.
Mambet Mamakeyev was born on Oct.1, 1927. 68 of them he spent in the operating room. He has carried out more than 30 thousand unique operations. Mamakeyev is the only surgeon in the world who operated at such an advanced age.
The professor worked 68 years in surgery, for which he was entered in the Guinness Book of Records. He headed the Department of Hospital Surgery at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. Author of more than 250 scientific works, trained dozens of doctors and candidates of sciences. He was awarded the Order of Manas and other state awards.
