Osh, April 1, 2022 . / Kabar / . . Farmers from Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad Oblast have established trade relations with potential buyers from Germany.
In order to ensure sales of manufactured products, the Trade Facilitation in Central Asia Project, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and implemented by UNDP in Kyrgyzstan, has assisted in establishing trade relations with potential buyers from Kyrgyzstan and Germany.
As of today, Bozbu Ata Bio Ltd. unites more than 700 farmers of this oblast, of which 23 farmers are involved in project activities, 11 of them are women.
As part of project support, the cooperative significantly improved its production infrastructure and purchased a prune and dried fruit cutting machine and production equipment, which served to increase their productivity and strengthen the prune value chain.
In addition, members of the cooperative received expert advice on improving the competitiveness of their products - good agricultural practices and agro-technologies of plum growing, pest and disease control; development of new types of products; ensuring compliance of production conditions and output products with HACCP food safety standards.
Bozbu Ata Bio cooperative was formed in 2017 and specializes in the production and sale of prunes in fresh and dried form in the village of Zherge-Tal, Aksy region, Jalal-Abad Oblast.
