Farmers in Kyrgyzstan to be given soft loans worth about KGS 26 bln this year

Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2022 . / Kabar /. During a parliamentary session on Wednesday, Chairman of the cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov noted that this year, about KGS 22 billion will be allocated for providing soft loans to farmers at 6% per annum.

He added that about KGS 1 billion has been allocated for repairing irrigation systems and other related measures, about KGS 1.5 billion for purchasing seeds, and about KGS 1 billion - for purchasing fertilizers.

The chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet said that stocks of the State Material Reserves Fund will be constantly renewed. Regarding food security issues, Zhaparov stressed that the Cabinet of Ministers is taking measures to ensure 9 major types of food.
