Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2022. / Kabar /. For 10 months of this year, 2.2 times more large and small farm animals were exported from Kyrgyzstan than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data in the report of the National Statistical Committee.
The growth of the indicator was achieved due to the fact that from November 2020 to July 2021 there was a ban on the export of pets and birds in Kyrgyzstan. If for 10 months of this year the volume of their exports amounted to 253 thousand 332 heads, then after the lifting of restrictions last year from July to October, only 13 thousand 159 heads were exported.
Uzbekistan became the main importer of domestic livestock this year. During this period, Kyrgyz farmers sold to the neighboring country almost the entire bulk of the export of live sheep and goats - 232 thousand 112 heads, as well as the entire number of cattle exported from the country - 16 thousand 193 animals.
