Bishkek, Dec. 7, 2021 . / Kabar / . Fashion Week - 21 Kyrgyzstan was held in Bishkek on Tuesday. The event was organized by the Association of Fashion Designers of Kyrgyzstan.
Both novice and established fashion designers, design studios, fashion and beauty industry companies participated in Fashion Week.
Head of the Fashion Designers Association Vitalina Shevchenko noted that designers, fashion brands and industrial companies working in the fashion industry have the opportunity, by participating in the competitive programs of the Fashion Week, to increase the competitiveness of products manufactured in Kyrgyzstan.
"Fashion Week contributes not only to the improvement of professional skills, but also to the economic development of the country. Our main goal is to promote the development of creative potential in one of the most in-demand and budget-forming industries," she stressed.
In addition, the event included The Next Fashion competition for young designers, which took place in several categories and was attended by young designers and students who have not previously participated in open competition projects and shows.
This year the competition featured 22 competitive collections in 7 categories. Competent jury, which included experts from Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, evaluated the works of participants and awarded the grand prize in the category "author's work" to Nurbek Kadyrkulov and his NE ON collection, and in the category "Industrial embodiment" - to the collection LiveOn Motion by Malika Tashpolotova.
