Osh, Nov.22, 2019 /Kabar/. The International Forum “Fergana Valley - Bridges of Friendship and Cooperation for the Development of Special Children” has started today, on Nov.22 in Osh at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek University.
The opening ceremony of the Forum was attended by Deputy Osh Mayor Nurbek Kadyrov, Educational Program Director of the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan Valentin Deichman, Head of the Smile KG Public Foundation Larisa Kuznetsova, as well as more than 50 specialists working in the field of child disability from Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, specialists of local authorities, health care, education, social protection, representatives of NGO-members- the Janyryk National Network and international organizations.
The purpose of the two-day Forum is to share the experience of experts from Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on early intervention and inclusive education for children with special educational needs of preschool age.
The program of the Forum includes a lecture, a master class and presentations using video clips on the experience of early childhood care for children with special educational needs.
The International Forum is held within the framework of the Early Intervention Services for Children of Osh City project, implemented by the Kol Taby Public Charity Foundation for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood with funding from the Educational Program of the Soros Foundation - Kyrgyzstan and support from the Osh Mayor's Office in order to assist in the implementation of the Concept of Inclusive Education Development for 2019 - 2023 and the promotion of methods and tools for early intervention and development of children with special educational needs.
