Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2021. /Kabar/. In 2020, the birth rate in Kyrgyzstan decreased by 9% compared to 2019, the press service of the State Registration Service of the republic said on Friday.
Thus, 158 thousand 174 births of infants were registered in 12 months of 2020.
Meanwhile, in 2019, this figure made 173 thousand 601 newborns.
In 2020, 40 thousand 001 deaths were recorded throughout the republic, which is 6 thousand 684 more than in 2019 (33 thousand 317).
