Festive Ait Namaz held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2018. / Kabar /. Bishkek city residents and guests of the capital made a festive "Ait Namaz" in the center of the city.

Several tens of thousands of believers gathered for festive Namaz.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, head of the presidential administration Dosaly Esenaliev, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, Mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov congratulated the nation on the Ait Namaz holiday. They wished peace, prosperity and health to all Kyrgyz people.

After the congratulatory speeches, thousands of believers made a collective prayer.

This morning, festive prayer was also held in all mosques in the capital, as well as in the regions of the republic.

Kurman Ait or Id-al-Adha (feast of sacrifice) is one of the main Muslim holidays. Kurman ait completes a ritual of pilgrimage to the holy places of Islam in Mecca and Medina (Saudi Arabia).
