Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2018. /Kabar/. Celebrations of Kyrgyzstan’s Independence Day have started in the city’s Ala-Too square.
The significant for the Kyrgyz people event was opened in Bishkek by Mayor Aziz Surakmatov. He wished all Kyrgyzstanis a peaceful sky, infinite happiness, good health, and welfare. Concluding his brief address, the Mayor declared street festivities in the city officially open.
Afterwards, the national anthem was played. Guests of the morning celebration, namely top public officials, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, heroes of the April events, and sportsmen of the Asian Games-2018, with their hands on heart solemnly sang lines of the anthem.
Further, the floor was yielded to Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov for his congratulatory words.
