Tashkent, June 6, 2022. /Kabar/. The Gulfstream G600 business jet from Beirut (Lebanon) carrying the FIFA World Cup landed at Tashkent's Islam Karimov International Airport at 7:08 p.m. on June 5, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.
World football legends Christian Karembeu and Carles Puyol delivered the FIFA World Cup trophy from Coca-Cola to Uzbekistan as part of their fifth tour.
The plane was solemnly met by Sports Minister Adham Ikramov and other officials.
The cup, awarded to winners of the FIFA World Cup, arrived in Tashkent for the second time. The trophy was brought as part of a large-scale FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour event by Coca-Cola 2022.
The Cup will be on public display today at the Tashkent City Congress Hall.
