The work by Temir Birnazarov will compete for first place in the nomination “The Best Foreign Language Film”.
“Night accident” tells about a lonely old man who finds a wounded girl on a country road and takes care of her. Gradually, he falls in love with her.
This picture entered the competition program of the 21st Tallinn Film Festival, where it won the Grand Prix of the Black Nights festival.
The play of the main actor Akylbek Abdykalykov was repeatedly commended by world cinematographers, most recently he has been awarded a statuette for the best male role at the International Film Festival in Almaty.
