Films of two schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan nominated for award of children's film competition

Bishkek, Mar. 14, 2019. /Kabar/. Two films shot by schoolchildren from Kyrgyzstan hit the short list of a major cinema competition INTERNATIONAL KIDS FILM FESTIVAL (IKFF), the organizers reported.

"Over 2,000 people took part in IKFF from Central Asia, 180 students completed online film production skills training, 11 films were presented at the world competition, and 2 films were shortlisted," they told.

The award ceremony will be held on March 15 in Bishkek.

According to the initiators, the founder and general manager of IKFF, Syed Sultan Ahmed, will arrive especially from India to deliver certificates and memorable prizes.

At the event, 11 short films shot by students from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will be shown. In addition, there will be a panel discussion on “Creative Education through Film Education – the Need and Opportunity”, where the participants will be representatives of the education, film and politics sectors.

The INTERNATIONAL KIDS FILM FESTIVAL is a large-scale children's film competition, initiated by the Indian company LXL Ideas.
