Fines for traffic violation to be reduced in September

Bishkek, July 3, 2019. /Kabar/. Fines for traffic violation will be reduced in September, Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament told during the final press conference.

He noted that fines for traffic violations are too high.

Speaker Dzhumabekov said that not all fines will be reduced, this is about changing the categories.

“Today's lowest fine is KGS 3,000 (USD 43, 25). This is not affordable by some segments of the population. We suggested the Government to reconsider, and the deputies are also working in this direction. In September, the fines will be reduced,” he said.

The work of the fifth session of the Parliament of the sixth convocation was completed on June 28.
