Fire in Chui Oblast: Mother of three dies saving children, they killed too

Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2020. /Kabar/. A family that died in a fire in Novopokrovka village of Ysyk-Ata Region was not registered with the Ministry of Social Development, Gulnura Koichumanova, the executive secretary of Logvinenko rural community of Chui Oblast told Kabar Agency.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergencies of the republic informed the family was killed in a fire in a barn.

"There is information that the woman was not at home at the time of the fire. When she came running, the house was already on fire, she went in to get the children out and died together with three children,” Koichumanova added.

"There is also a version that someone flooded the stove with gasoline, which led to the fire,” the executive secretary said.

The Emergency Ministry of Kyrgyzstan reported on Monday that a barn with an area of 320 square meters burned down in Novopokrovka.

As a result, the accident killed four people - a 25-year-old woman, a 4-year-old girl and two boys, aged 4 and 3. The cause and damage of the fire are being investigated.
