First batch of COVID-19 vaccine delivered to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 21, 2021. /Kabar/. The first batch of 200 doses of COVID-19 vaccine was delivered to the territory of the Russian Kant base in Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Zvezda portal, the delivery was carried out by a military transport aircraft of the Central Air Defense Forces. Special containers required for cold chain compliance were used in the process.

Medics working at the base, active-duty military personnel, and command staff will be the first to be vaccinated.

Before vaccination begins, soldiers will be told about COVID-19, the Gam-COVID-Vac (trade-named Sputnik V) vaccine and possible side effects from it. They will be vaccinated only with written consent, voluntarily.
