First center in Central Asia to support women victims of violence to be opened in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2024. /Kabar/. The first state center in Central Asia to support women and girls affected by violence will be opened in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Zhanyl Alybaeva told at a meeting with Senior Coordinator for Gender Equality at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Jamila Bigio.

“When the single window opens, women and girls will receive all the services they need in one place, namely investigative and forensic services, as well as legal and psychological assistance. Such a center will be the first in Central Asia,” Alybaeva said.

Also at the meeting, opportunities for interaction within the framework of the implementation of the project of the State Program to Support Women’s Leadership until 2030 were discussed.
