Bishkek, Oct. 19, 2020. /Kabar/. Two repeat cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in Bishkek, Chief Doctor of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance (CSSES) of the capital Kuban Kundashev told Kabar News Agency.
Kundashev added currently he has no accurate data on the number of newly detected cases of COVID-19 and community-acquired pneumonia.
"However, 2 officially confirmed cases were identified in the capital. As far as I know, there are up to 7 cases in total," he said.
The CSSES head said the first case - laboratory confirmed COVID-19 - was repeatedly detected in man. The second case of infection is a woman who earlier has recovered from community - acquired pneumonia with 25% of lung injury, just the other day she has admitted to hospital with 65% of injury.
"I would like to note that there are different cases. Citizens who previously had COVID-19 are now being hospitalized with community-acquired pneumonia and vice versa," added Kundashev.
