Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2022. / Kabar /. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev, as part of a working trip to Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), met with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Jeddah Muhammad bin Yusuf Al Nagi.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
“With the support of the Saudi side, we held a tourist road show and an exhibition of domestic products in the hospitable land of Saudi Arabia. The Cabinet of Ministers attaches great importance to these events in the year of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries,” said Arzybek Kozhoshev.
He added that there is significant untapped potential in bilateral cooperation, including in the areas of economy, trade, energy, tourism, investment and logistics.
In this context, Arzybek Kozhoshev noted the importance of intensifying mutual contacts.
In turn, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry expressed his full readiness to expand bilateral cooperation, in particular, in considering promising projects submitted by the Kyrgyz side.
Muhammad bin Yusuf Al Nagi added that Saudi Arabia is interested in importing environmentally friendly products produced in the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify the work of the Business Council between the two countries and hold its meeting on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in the near future.
