First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev met with Director of the Central Asian Regional Information Coordination Center for Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors (CARICC) Rustam Aziz Miralizoda.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting, the issue of CARICC activities in the field of effective countering drug trafficking in the region and beyond was considered. Particular attention is paid to the mechanisms of interaction between the competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and CARICC, its other participants, international organizations and partners in ongoing projects and programs, as well as draft documents.
Niyazaliev focused on the need to intensify the activities of the Center and its staffing with representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with the main documents of CARICC.
The director of CARICC noted the successful interaction with Kyrgyzstan, in particular, the implementation of 14 anti-drug operations since 2016.
Taking this opportunity, Rustam Aziz Miralizoda expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for cooperation, and also confirmed readiness for further active interaction in order to strengthen the vector of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
