Bishkek, Dec. 1, 2021. / Kabar /. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliev received copies of credentials from Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium Henri Vantighem, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
After the official presentation ceremony, the sides discussed issues of further strengthening friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belgium. The sides focused on deepening political dialogue and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian fields. The presence of significant potential for building up business partnerships, as well as interaction on green energy, tourism, and environmental protection was emphasized. The Belgian side expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the field of education.
The Kyrgyz side proposed to speed up the consideration of previously developed draft documents on cooperation in health care, agriculture, investment promotion and protection, education and science, culture, sports, tourism and environmental protection.
Particular attention was paid to the events planned to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, including high-level visits in 2022. The sides confirmed their mutual disposition to continue the development of the entire complex of Kyrgyz-Belgian relations.
At the end of the conversation, Niyazaliev congratulated Vantigem on his appointment to the post and wished him success in his honorable mission.
