Bishkek, March 28, 2023. / Kabar /. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Asein Isaev received copies of credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand to the Kyrgyz Republic with residence in Moscow, Sarah Mary Walsh.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of deepening bilateral cooperation, including the intensification of political dialogue, the development of trade, economic and investment ties, as well as interaction in a multilateral format.
Isaev noted the importance of joint work of small countries in the participation in solving global problems on the agenda. He also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of hydropower.
In turn, Sarah Mary Walsh noted New Zealand's main foreign policy priorities and positions on topical issues on the international agenda. The ambassador expressed her interest in deepening bilateral relations, and also confirmed New Zealand's readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan in various fields.
At the end of the conversation, the sides reaffirmed their common desire to further deepen cooperation on all issues on the bilateral and multilateral agendas.
