Bishkek, Oct.28, 2019. /Kabar/. New regular Kuwait-Osh-Kuwait flight has been opened at Osh International Airport.
The press service of Manas International Airport (MIA) OJSC reported that the first Kuwait-Osh flight of Jazeera Airways was solemnly welcomed today, Oct.28 at Osh Airport.
Traditionally, Airbus-320 Neo aircraft was greeted with a water salute.
Talantbek Ysakov, director of Osh branch of MIA OJSC said the opening of this flight will not only satisfy the existing demand in air transportation among passengers of the two countries and the Ferghana Valley, but also provides an opportunity for further transit to Asia and Europe due to the convenient connection at the airport in Kuwait.
There are 139 passengers registered for the flight from Osh to Kuwait. The flights will be operated twice a week - on Mondays and Wednesdays.
A water salute occurs for ceremonial purposes when a vehicle travels under plumes of water expelled by one or more fire fighting vehicles.
At an airport, typically an even number of vehicles will line up perpendicularly on the sides of the taxiway or apron, and the plumes of water will form a series of arches. Symbolically, the procession looks similar to a bridal party walking under a wedding arch or the saber arch at a military wedding.
