Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2022 . / Kabar / . The first domestic passenger bus Beles was launched in Kara-Balta town, Chui Oblast, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported Wednesday.
Assembly of the transport was started in 2020.
The length of the bus is 12 meters, the seating capacity - 35, the total capacity - 115 people. The assembly shop is located in the territory of Kara-Balta.
"To date, the production of a test sample of urban passenger transport with a high class of exhaust gas purification, automatic tilt function when passengers board, climate control of the cabin with air purification function, exhaust ramp to enter wheelchairs and baby carriages, as well as many modern technologies for passenger convenience, WI-FI, USB charging is being completed,” the report said.
In the coming days, the sample is being prepared for shipment outside Kyrgyzstan to undergo laboratory testing. Further production on an industrial scale is planned.
The project is aimed at creating a domestic car industry in the Kyrgyz Republic, which will be focused on domestic and foreign markets and will have a multiplier effect, involving many related industries and creating additional jobs in the country.
