Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2021 . / Kabar / . The First European Union - Central Asia Economic Forum at the level of prime ministers is taking place in Bishkek in the Ala-Archa state residence.
The event is attended by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, Head of the Presidential Administration – Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, Deputy Prime Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov and Tajikistan Usmonali Usmonov.
The European Union is represented by Vice President of the European Commission for Economic Affairs Valdis Dombrovskis and a number of leaders of European countries and major international financial organizations.
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen addressed the Forum participants via videoconference.
The main topics of this Forum will be the economic recovery after COVID-19, as well as issues of the business environment and digitalization.
It is planned to attract not only European investments, but also European innovative technologies to the country within the framework of the Forum.
