First EU-CA Economic Forum to be held in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, July 7, 2019. / Kabar /. The first European Union - Central Asia Economic Forum will be held in Kyrgyzstan in 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov told journalists on the results of the 15th meeting of EU-Central Asian foreign ministers.

He said that this forum can become a mechanism for effective trade and economic cooperation between the EU and the countries of the region. “We plan to hold this forum early next year,” said the minister.

The meeting was attended by EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyztan - Chingiz Aidarbekov, Kazakhstan - Beibut Atamkulov, Uzbekistan - Abdulaziz Kamilov, Tajikistan - Aslov Sirojiddin and Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Hajiyev Vepa.
