Bishkek, Feb. 7, 2022. / Kabar /. The first charter flight on the Bishkek-Jeddah route by Air Manas domestic airline departed from Manas International Airport on the night of Feb. 6.
The press service of the airport reported that Air Manas has become the first designated operator of Kyrgyzstan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will carry out flight on the Bishkek-Jeddah-Bishkek route once a week (on Sunday). From the end of February, the flights will be increased to four times.
Representatives of Manas International Airport, First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Turganbaev, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan Abdul Rahman bin Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Jumuah and Director General of Air Manas Talgat Nurbaev participated in the launch of the direct flight.
"The opening of a direct Bishkek-Jeddah flight will contribute to strengthening relations between the two countries, increasing the number of tourists, as well as give our pilgrims the opportunity to save money and time. It is also planned to open flights from other cities of Saudi Arabia," Ulukbek Maripov said.
