Bishkek, March 6, 2022 / Kabar /. On March 6, 2022, the first regular flight on the route Ulaanbaatar-Bishkek-Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia) was solemnly welcomed at Manas International Airport of Kyrgyzstan.
By tradition, the aircraft was greeted with a water arch, the press service of the airport said.
95 passengers arrived on the first flight from Ulaanbaatar to Bishkek, and 66 people flew away.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Oskombaev, Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, Chairman of the Board-General Director of Manas International Airport Bakyt Sharsheyev, director of the Hunnu Air airline P. Munkhzhargal, Ambassador of Mongolia S.Gankhuyag and others.
Bakyt Sharsheyev congratulated on the opening of a new flight.
“During negotiations with the Mongolian side, we mentioned the development of trade and economic relations and tourism. I really hope that our cooperation with Mongolia will indeed be useful and positive for both sides. We are glad that we are gradually getting out of the situation with the coronavirus and are opening new countries and cities for our passengers. And this contributes to the development and expansion of the sphere of business and the economy of our state as a whole,” Sharsheyev said.
In turn, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Marat Oskombaev said that the opening of a flight between the countries is a positive step in strengthening bilateral relations.
He noted that the Manas airport will become a convenient connecting point for air passengers from Mongolia in order to get to the countries of the Middle East and Europe.
“This regular flight allows us to save time and unnecessary costs. Previously, the flight took from 20 to 23 hours. Now it's only 3 hours and 40 minutes. Separately, I want to note that reducing flight time and saving unnecessary costs makes it possible to increase the interest of citizens to travel between countries. And this contributes to the development of tourism and the establishment of business contacts,” said Mongolian Ambassador Ganhuyag Sodnoma.
“I am very glad that we were able to perform the first flight Ulaanbaatar-Bishkek. I hope the flight will be useful and the Kyrgyz passengers will feel comfortable. I congratulate everyone on the opening and want to thank our partners,” said P. Munkhzhargal, director of the Hunnu Air airline.
The Hunnu Air of(Mongolia will operate a flight once a week - Sunday.
