Osh, Feb. 21, 2022. / Kabar /. The first flight on the Sharjah-Osh-Sharjah route was solemnly welcomed at the airport in Osh. By tradition, the aircraft was greeted with a water arch.
The first plane landed at Osh International Airport at 03:15 on the night of February 20-21.
According to the press service of Manas International Airport OJSC, 164 passengers flew on the first flight from Osh to Sharjah, and 10 people arrived.
“Today is a significant day. We are opening a flight on the Sharjah-Osh-Sharjah route for the first time. The opening of direct flights will only expand cooperation between our countries, which contributes to the development of our country and the aviation industry as a whole,” said Bakyt Sharsheev, Chairman of the Board of Manas International Airport OJSC.
In turn, the regional manager of Air Arabia, Alla Berest, noted that cooperation between Manas International Airport and the airline has been going on for three years.
“We have long planned to open a flight to the city of Osh, unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we had to temporarily suspend it. But today we were able to implement our plan, which we are very happy about,” she said.
Air Arabia (UAE) will operate the flight on Monday and Saturday from February 21 to March 3, 2022. And starting from March 3, the number of flights will increase to 3 times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
Approximate flight time 3.5 - 4 hours.
