First foreign visit of President Zheenbekov to Russia

Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2017. /Kabar/. The first foreign working visit of Kyrgyzstan’s President Sooronbai Zheenbekov will be made to Russia on Nov. 29, the head of the Foreign Policy Department Aizada Subakozhoeva reported. She said that the visit will be held at the invitation from the Russian side.

"This will be the first foreign visit of Sooronbai Zheenbekov as head of state. This means that the external political course will be aimed at strengthening and deepening the alliance with Russia, "she said.

Subakozhoeva noted that within the framework of the visit, Zheenbekov will be meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the meeting further cooperation and exchange of views on key issues will be discussed.

In addition, Jeenbekov will meet with the chairman of the Russian government Dmitry Medvedev. The sides will discuss trade and economic issues.

To recall, Sooronbai Zheenbekov officially took office as president of Kyrgyzstan on November 24, 2017.
