Bishkek, April 14, 2023. / Kabar /. An agreement was reached to hold the first Kyrgyz-Hamburg business forum this year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The agreement was reached during a meeting of the Committee for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, in which Temir Sariev, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Omurbek Tekebayev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany, took part as an honored guest.
In his welcoming speech, Sariev spoke about the opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of investment and export of Kyrgyz products. Energy, mining, tourism and logistics projects were identified as priority areas of cooperation.
In turn, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany also dwelled on the advantages of doing business in Kyrgyzstan and the need to expand Kyrgyz-German economic cooperation.
Following the meeting, representatives of German business showed interest in cooperation in the field of logistics, minerals, renewable energy and the supply of organic food from Kyrgyzstan. An agreement was reached to hold a Kyrgyz-Hamburg business forum this year, the report said.
