First Kyrgyz-Indian business forum to be held in April

Bishkek, Mar. 7, 2019. /Kabar/. The first Kyrgyz-Indian business forum will be held in Bishkek in April 2019, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Marat Sharshekeev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Kyrgyzstan Alok Amitabh Dimri agreed on it on Thursday.

The Ambassador has recently taken office, and intends to seriously take up the dynamic development of the Kyrgyz-Indian trade and economic relations. At the moment, he is studying the investment capital of the country, visiting the regions, meeting representatives of government agencies. In his opinion, the business circles of the two countries need to identify priority areas for economic cooperation and allow the business community of the two countries to agree on further partnership.

During the conversation, Sharshekeev proposed to hold a Kyrgyz-Indian business forum within the framework of the annual Kyrgyzstan 2019 International Exhibition from April 18-21, 2019, which will be attended by businessmen from across the country. The exhibition will serve as an effective platform for negotiations and conclusion of lucrative contracts.

The sides noted that at present there is a partnership in the field of medicine, education, trade, and air traffic between the countries. However, in addition to these areas, it is necessary to launch projects in the field of energy, agriculture, tourism and mining.

The Indian Ambassador invited Sharshekeev to take part in the meeting of the Business Council "India and Central Asia", also aimed at establishing a trade and economic partnership between India and the Central Asian countries.
