First Lady of Kyrgyzstan takes part in opening of arts festival “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk”

Bishkek, July 12, 2024. /Kabar/. On July 11, the First Lady of Kyrgyzstan, Aigul Zhaparova, at the invitation of the Belarusian side, as an honorary guest, took part in the opening of the XXXIII International Arts Festival “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk”.

According to the presidential press service, the solemn event was opened by President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, after which a gala concert took place with the participation of famous performers and pop stars.

This year, Kyrgyzstan is represented at the festival by 14-year-old Rayana Alybaeva, who is the winner of the national qualifying round, as well as a participant and prize-winner of various international and republican children's talent competitions.

“Slavic Bazaar” is an annual international arts festival that has been held in Vitebsk since 1992.

In 1993, the flag of Kyrgyzstan appeared for the first time on the flagpole of the Slavic Bazaar festival, along with the flags of Slovakia, Lithuania, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Yugoslavia.

The festival includes a vocal competition and a children's music competition.

The festival program features different genres of music, theater, cinema, fine arts and folk crafts. One of the largest festivals in Eastern Europe.

Artists from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa and other countries of the world take part in the festival.
