Osh, Jan. 30, 2020 / Kabar /. The first machine-building plant is expected to be open in Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city in March 2020, Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush LLC reported.
The construction of the plant is carried out by Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush LLC. The plant will produce hydraulic turbines, various types of generators, and in the future it is planned to organize the assembly of electric vehicles and 35-seater electric buses. Currently, the company is collaborating with companies from India and Germany, and negotiations are underway on cooperation with the Japanese company Nissan for the production of electric vehicles.
At the moment, USD 20 million has already been invested. All invested funds are funds of the domestic businessman Nurbek Osmonov, and the total investment will amount to USD 150 million. Reportedly, 5-6 years will be required for the mass production of electric vehicles and 35-seater electric buses.
The production of electric buses will begin earlier, but mass production will begin in 5-6 years. The total staff of the plant will be more than 300 people.
The construction of the plant has begun in May 2018 in the city of Osh.
Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush was created to develop the industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to create conditions for improving the social situation of the population, ensuring energy and environmental safety of the republic.
