Bishkek, Oct.11, 2024. /Kabar/. Bishkek hosted on Friday the first meeting of participants of the joint venture “China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company” with the participation of heads of railway administrations of the three countries.
Kyrgyz Railway State Enterprise reported that this company was established in accordance with Kyrgyz law by three railroad administrations of the parties - China State Railway Corporation, State Enterprise ‘Kyrgyz Temir Jolu’, JSC ‘Uzbekistan Temir Yollari’ in order to implement the project of construction of the railroad China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan.
The activities of the newly established company will be aimed at financing, design, construction, operation and maintenance of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad on the section through the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“During the meeting, decisions on the management of the company were considered and adopted, including the election of members of the Board of Directors and the appointment of heads of the executive body of the company. They also considered financing issues and approved the investment plan for 2024”, the report said.
