Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2024. / Kabar/. Under the leadership of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, the first meeting of the interdepartmental commission for the implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project was held.
The meeting considered the investment agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Company LLC.
It should be noted that the interdepartmental commission was created to develop the railway network of Kyrgyzstan and realize the transit potential of railway transport, as well as the successful implementation of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project. Following the meeting, relevant ministries, committees, administrative departments, local governments, state enterprises and organizations were given a number of instructions on timely and high-quality resolution of issues arising during the work of the interdepartmental commission. In addition, it is worth noting the phased implementation of this international railway project. In June of this year, the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the PRC, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Cooperation in Joint Promotion of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railway Project", signed in Beijing on June 6, 2024, was adopted.
