Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2018. /Kabar/. The first meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Business Council will be held in Bishkek on October 3, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reported. The creation of a business council was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, the External Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan and supported by the business circles of the two countries.
The purpose of the formation of the Council is to assist in expanding and strengthening trade and economic cooperation.
During the meeting of the Business Council, a business forum will be held with the participation of Kyrgyz and Kazakhstani companies interested in establishing cooperation, finding partners and new sales markets.
The forum participants represent such sectors of the economy as: construction, export credit agency, food manufacturers, automobile manufaturing, medical device manufacturers.
Currently, Kazakhstan is a strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan. The trade turnover between the countries amounts to over $ 500 million.
Following last year's business forum organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kazakh Invest National Company alone, businessmen of the two countries concluded contracts worth over $ 11 million.
As the results of the official visits of the Heads of State of the two countries, it was instructed in the decisions of the documents to increase the volume of trade between the countries to $ 1 billion.
