First meeting of Organizing Committee for first People’s Kurultai held

Bishkek, Aug. 19, 2022 / Kabar /. The first meeting of the Organizing Committee for holding the first People’s Kurultai was held under the chairmanship of State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Suyunbek Kasmambetov.

The event was attended by members of the Organizing Committee: employees of the presidential administration, presidential plenipotentiaries in the regions, mayors of the cities of Bishkek and Osh, as well as public figures.

The tasks for the near future on carrying out explanatory work and meetings with the population were determined at the meeting, specific technical instructions were given within the framework of the organization of the People's Kurultai.

Suyunbek Kasmambetov noted that the main task of the Organizing Committee is to ensure a clean and open process for the nomination and election of delegates to the People's Kurultai. The secretary of state emphasized the inadmissibility of any interference on the part of state bodies in the election of delegates.

The first People’s Kurultai will be held in Bishkek on Nov. 25, 2022.
