Tashkent, June 26, 2020. /Kabar/. In Uzbekistan, Technopolis Moscow - Hirana+ Special Economic Zone resident company has released the first ventilator, the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Innovative Development reported.
According to Vasily Shimko, General Director of Hirana+, the opening of the plant in the presence of first officials of Uzbekistan and launch the production, which aims to become strategically important for the whole Central Asian region is scheduled for August 2020.
"On the basis of the plant it is planned to create a service and training center for seminars on the use of ventilators and anesthesia and respiratory apparatus," he noted.
More than USD 8 million will be invested in this production and about 100 jobs will be created.
By the end of the year, the plant is expected to produce 100 ventilators. In the future, it is planned to increase the output up to 500 ventilators and 500 anesthesia and respiratory apparatuses per year.
Medical equipment produced is planned to be sold to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
