Floods in Kazakhstan. Kyrgyzstan sends humanitarian aid

Bishkek, April 6, 2024. / Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan sent 300 tons of humanitarian aid to Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

It is intended for flood victims and contains sunflower oil, sugar, rice, pasta and confectionery, as well as locally produced mattresses, clothes and tents.

The humanitarian aid “Caravan of Products” was organized on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic SadyrZhaparov. Delivery was organized by the forces and means of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic

Earlier the Kazakh authorities reported that most of the country’s territory suffered material damage due to spring floods. About 16 thousand people, including over 6 thousand children, were evacuated from flooded areas. There are more than 4 thousand people in temporary accommodation centers, including about 2 thousand children.
