As part of his visit to Washington, Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov on Sept. 30, 2019 took part in the round table on doing business in Kyrgyzstan and expanding trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United States, organized by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the U.S. and the U.S.-Kyrgyz Business Council.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during his speech, Minister Aidarbekov spoke in detail about investment, economic, export and tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan.
The minister also briefed the participants of the event about the efforts, made by the country's leadership to ensure a favourable business environment and the work of foreign investors in Kyrgyzstan, as well as about the relevant reforms under way in the country.
A separate issue of discussion was the development of the economic potential of the Central Asian region, as well as ways to develop cooperation between Central Asia and American companies in trade, economic, tourist, educational and cultural spheres.
The participants exchanged views on issues of interest, including specific ways to develop cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in various areas of interaction.
