FM Aidarbekov: Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UAE is developing fruitfully and dynamically

Bishkek, Dec.13, 2019. /Kabar/. Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Arab Emirates is developing fruitfully and dynamically, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, member of the official delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov said within the official visit of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to the Emirates.

He recalled the President has paid visit at the invitation of Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the visit, a wide range of social, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian issues, as well as education and tourism were discussed.

“The sides signed 7 agreements covering current and promising sectors of bilateral cooperation. They paid great attention to the development of economic relations and investment cooperation, trade and economic cooperation. The spheres of education and tourism were especially considered," Aidarbekov said.

As he noted, at the meeting with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dubai Majid Saif Al Ghurair and representatives of the UAE business community, Sooronbay Jeenbekov called on representatives and heads of large companies to invest in various sectors of the economy of Kyrgyzstan.

“The delegations discussed specific areas and sectors to make investments in the economy of our country. We also agreed to work closely with the relevant government agencies,” the minister stressed.

In addition, FM Aidarbekov noted at the meeting with the UAE leadership a wide range of issues was discussed, as well as the priorities of the country's development within the framework of the implementation of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On Dec. 11-12, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov has paid official visit to the Emirates.

Within the framework of the visit, Sooronbay Jeenbekov also met with UAE Vice President, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Dubai Majid Saif Al Ghurair, representatives of the UAE business community, Director General of the Zayed Foundation Hamad Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri.

The official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Emirates ended with a meeting with compatriots residing in the UAE.

President Jeenbekov has arrived in Bishkek early in the morning today, Dec. 13.
