Bishkek, June 28, 2019. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Eduard Auer, the Head of Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The sides discussed the upcoming visits of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, and European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica to the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the 15th Meeting of the EU-Central Asia (CA) Foreign Ministers scheduled for July.
Minister Aidarbekov highlighted the importance of the new Agreement on enhanced partnership and cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU, the initialling of which is planned during Mogherini's upcoming visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
Head of the EU Delegation Auer thanked the Kyrgyz side for the readiness to organize the first EU-CA Economic Forum and noted that the recently adopted EU strategy for Central Asia would be presented within the framework of the Forum.
