Bishkek, Jan.28, 2020 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov urged German businessmen to invest in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, Aidarbekov met with Michael Harms, Executive Director of the German Eastern Business Association.
During the meeting, the foreign minister of Kyrgyzstan informed the interlocutor about the priority directions of the Kyrgyz economy, and urged representatives of the German economy to invest in the country.
In his turn, Harms noted the importance of expanding contacts between business circles of the two countries and holding joint business forums. At the same time, he praised the Kyrgyz-German Business Forum held in Munich in 2019, during which a number of bilateral documents in various economic spheres were signed.
Besides, Chingiz Aidarbekov invited representatives of the German Eastern Business Association to take part in the first EU-CA Economic Forum.
"Harms expressed readiness for further cooperation and organization of mutual visits with participation of business circles of the two countries," the ministry’s press service said.
The German Eastern Business Association (OAOEV) is the major regional initiative of the German economy for 29 countries in Central Europe, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, in the South Caucasus and in Central Asia. The OAOEV supports its members in their projects, arranges contacts and answers questions about market entry.
