Bishkek, April 3, 2024. / Kabar/. Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev conveyed warm words of greeting, as well as an invitation on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan in the near future. The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that Malaysia is one of the main priorities of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy in the southeast direction.
Kulubaev confirmed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in further expanding and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with Malaysia in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral relations and prospects for the further development of Kyrgyz-Malaysian relations, including in the field of education, the halal industry, the investment sector, as well as the possibility of opening direct flights between our countries. There was also an exchange of views on current issues on the international agenda.
Anwar Ibrahim, expressing gratitude to President Sadyr Zhaparov for his warm wishes, gratefully accepted the invitation to visit the Kyrgyz Republic.
