Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Investment of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev sent a welcome message to participants of the international expert conference entitled “The countries of Central Asia in new geopolitical conditions against the background of the situation in Afghanistan."

It was noted that the model of development imposed on Afghanistan from the outside turned out to be unacceptable, despite the absolute and decisive support, including multibillion financial, economic, and military-technical assistance from the entire international community, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

Kazakbaev noted that Afghanistan is now in a difficult situation, is on the verge of humanitarian disaster and in this regard, is in dire need of external financial and economic assistance and support from the entire world community.

In this regard, Kyrgyzstan considers it necessary to extend a helping hand to the Afghan people in order to prevent further escalation of tension in the country. It is in this context that Kyrgyzstan was among the first countries to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to Kabul by air and by ground transport to the population of hard-to-reach areas of the Little and Great Afghan Pamirs of Badakhshan Province.

In addition, the Kyrgyz government has decided to continue issuing student visas for citizens of Afghanistan.

In this regard, the Kyrgyz Republic considers it advisable to build a constructive dialogue and interaction with the new authorities of Afghanistan in ensuring peace and stability in the country, especially on such important issues as recognition of the new Afghan government, unblocking of funds in international accounts, providing Afghanistan with necessary humanitarian, financial and economic assistance in its fight against international terrorism, drug trafficking, ensuring public security and stability in the region.

In conclusion, Ruslan Kazakbaev wished the participants of the conference successful and fruitful work.
