FM Kazakbaev meets with diplomatic rep of AKDN due to completion of his mission in country

Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held on Friday a meeting with Diplomatic Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in the Kyrgyz Republic Shamsh Kassim-Lakha.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that the meeting took place due to completion of the AKDN head mission in the republic.

During the meeting, Ruslan Kazakbaev expressed gratitude to Shamsh Kassim-Lakha for his active work on the implementation of projects, aimed at the development of education, mountain regions, culture and economy of the republic.

The minister also congratulated his interlocutor on the 20th anniversary of signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and AKDN.

Kazakbaev highlighted the activities of the University of Central Asia in Naryn as a recognized regional center for education and science development.

For his part, Shamsh Kassim-Lakha expressed gratitude to Kazakbaev for the assistance provided by the ministry to the AKDN.

He positively noted the ongoing political reforms in the Kyrgyz Republic and the high level of organization of Nov. 28 parliamentary elections.

In addition, the AKDN diplomatic representative expressed readiness to continue implementing projects to improve urban infrastructure and governance in the Kyrgyz Republic. He emphasized that none of the Organization's projects will be suspended until final implementation.

In conclusion, Minister Kazakbaev once again thanked the AKDN diplomatic representative for his contribution to the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Organization, and wished further success in his professional activities.

At the end of the meeting, the Kyrgyz minister presented Samsh Kassim-Lakha with a commemorative medal of the 75th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
