Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2024. /Kabar/. A meeting took place in New York on the margins of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly between Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Burkina Faso Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the development of relations between the two countries, including cooperation within the framework of international organizations, the Foreign Ministry said.
Kulubaev informed his counterpart that Kyrgyzstan is promoting its candidacy for non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028 and asked to support its candidacy by presenting a message on behalf of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov addressed to the President of Burkina Faso on this issue.
As part of further activation of bilateral relations, Jeenbek Kulubaev proposed to organize inter-ministerial consultations at the level of deputy ministers or directors of departments.
In conclusion, the minister invited to visit Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time.
